After spending an afternoon with the wonderful people at Dorchester Paws in Summerville for the Bissell Pet Foundation empty the shelter event, we decided we wanted to go back to photograph some of the long time residents sooner, rather than later, in hopes to find homes for the holidays! I truly wish we could bring all of the furry, fuzzy, squishy, wiggling babies home with us every time we visit a shelter, but of course that's just not possible. And if you know us at all, you know we have 4 amazing adopted/rescued dogs, and 4 adopted/rescued cats. Anyway, one of our pups, not naming names (George) landed on my laptop while wrestling, and it started smoking, soooo I had to get these photos finished, and get on the road to visit family in Ohio. I'm just now able to to hop on a laptop to get this blog written and share some fabulous dogs with you all! Please share these wonderful dogs, because as I like to say, you never know who might find everything they didn't even know they were looking for! xoxo
Polaris, the longest resident at Dorchester Paws, was there for 200+ days, and sadly his adoption didn't work out. If you're looking for your one and only, please go meet this guy! He is a high energy boy, and he made us work for the shots! But look how handsome he is!
Meet Cooper! Gosh he sure is handsome! My kinda dog for sure! He worked the camera, what a super model! He knew we were there to help him out with some new headshots!
Meet Hulk, a brindle terrier mix who's been at the shelter since October 1st. He's a rambunctious sweetheart, who's also super handsome! If I remember correctly he needs to be the only fur baby, but he's got plenty of personality!
ADOPTED!
This is Conner, a 2.5 year old lab mix who has been at the shelter since late August. I'll admit I'm partial to Conner, and might've fallen in love for a sec *googly heart eyes* because he reminded us so much of our hound that keeps my heart! only in black, instead of as we call him, golden! He is a super sweet, handsome boy who'd love to be able to regularly stretch his legs on a run! Oh and he LOVES people! But he does need to be the only dog, and also no small human siblings.
Alyssa is a 2 year old terrier mix who's been at the shelter since the end of October. I believe she also needs to be the only fur baby, but is the perfect fit for someone with a little time, and patience who needs a sweet, loyal companion! I captured her tongue doing silly things both days I saw her lol
Last but not least, this is Sky, a 6.5 year young pointer/terrier. Take a look at what her about me says "I'm Sky and though I'm a bit older I still have a bit of spunk and will surely make your heart soar to the sky and back. But because I am a bit older I do not like when hyper dogs are around but may do well with another older friend or one who is always calm! So please come to Dorchester Paws and adopt me!" Supposedly Sky wasn't food motivated, but she sure did put skills on display for some pupperoni! Look at this girl! What a sweetheart, she deserves to find her forever home.
