Community Support in Action: Salty Dog's Sponsorship Helps 32 Rescue Dogs Shine
When businesses step up for animal welfare, lives change. Thanks to Salty Dog Charleston & Seabrook Island, we were able to dedicate an entire week to photographing adoptable dogs—giving 32 pups (including two litters of puppies!) the visibility they need to find loving homes. This sponsorship originally covered 25 dogs for Rosie Rescue, but we managed to squeeze in dogs from five other rescues as well: Journey Home Rescue Alliance, H.F. Help Rescue, Dusty Tails, Lowcountry Lab Rescue, and Libby & Mace’s Place.
Beyond funding this initiative, Salty Dog’s support runs deep. Besides the fact that they support various rescues and display photos of adoptable dogs, we also got to see their February fundraiser in action when they personally delivered a generous donation to Rosie Rescue—proof that when local businesses invest in rescue efforts, it creates a ripple effect of positive change.
With this sponsorship, we were able to photograph 32 dogs, bringing our total for the year to 107—moving closer to our goal of 1,000 in 2025. Once upon a time, I didn’t have much—no cozy bed, no belly rubs, and sometimes not even enough food. But then a kind human stepped in and changed my whole world. Now, I know what love feels like, and let me tell you—I am ALL IN on this whole “family” thing!

Okay, so I’m completely obsessed with this guy, and I don’t want to share him, I mean he doesn't live with us, but I know our home isn’t the best fit for him with all the chaos from our crew. or I might be begging Nick to adopt him. Hi, I’m Lester, a playful, sweet little guy with a heart full of love and a tail that NEVER stops wagging.
I’m super eager to please, which means I’m always ready to learn new things—like when to go potty (I’ve got that down now, by the way). I’m also great with other dogs, especially my foster sister, but those little bunnies and lizards in my foster home? I’m not interested. I mean, come on, who needs lizards when you can have all the attention?
Now, I do love to play and burn off some energy (a good run in a yard is my jam!), but after that, I’m basically a professional couch potato. So if you want a dog who’s fun, cuddly, and will keep you entertained while also turning into a fluffy couch ornament afterward, I’m your guy!

Riley’s Story: A Soul Full of Love, Even in the Hardest Times
Riley is the epitome of unconditional love, a soul so sweet it could melt anyone's heart. When I met this beautiful girl, I couldn’t help but fall in love with her. It was a true honor to photograph her and capture the quiet grace she exudes, even in the midst of such an uncertain future.
Riley's journey has been nothing short of heartbreaking. At 9 years old, she was scheduled to be euthanized in a rural shelter on 11/19, just another statistic in a world too often indifferent to the lives of senior animals. But Riley had other plans. She was rescued just in time, arrangements were made for her to travel across the country to Oregon, where she would begin a new chapter of her life. But fate, as it often does, had different plans for her.
Sadly, her bloodwork showed signs of something that can’t be ignored—an infection (the best case scenario) or likely tumors in her liver—with that, Riley’s journey to Oregon was no longer possible. Instead, she has been staying with Journey Home Rescue Alliance in “fospice” care—a term that holds so much meaning when it comes to a soul like hers.
In times like this, it’s hard not to feel the weight of how fragile life can be. Riley’s future is uncertain, but one thing is for sure: she has been surrounded by love, and that’s something she deserves, no matter how much time she has left. ❤
Her hospice foster has chosen love—love that doesn’t always make sense when you know the outcome may be short. But love that is pure, selfless, and the greatest gift we can offer.

The love she has given and the joy she has shared in her short time with us will never be forgotten. Thank you to her hospice foster for choosing this precious girl, and thank you to everyone who opens their hearts to her.
