Riesling!

Wow, I can't believe almost a whole year has passed since we traveled to Hilton Head to meet the adorable, then 11.5 year old, squishy face Riesling! Born in Oklahoma, he grew up briefly in Pittsburgh, and is now living out his days in Atlanta with his parents Aubree and Dane, and new little, soon to be BIG brother, Drogo, an English Mastiff! (see them together at the end!) Anyway, of course Riesling was along on vacation, what's better than a frolic on the beach? Well, as best as he could—for the health problems he's endured, he sure didn't let that stop him from trying!  Aubree received Riesling as an undergrad graduation present. She had wanted a pug from the time she was 10 years old, and was so excited to finally get a puppy! Of course now they can't imagine life without him! Even though he has to use a cart to get around now, he's happy, and enjoys his morning and afternoon naps next to his mom!

"He has been through a lot over the past several years fighting diabetes, a disc injury, bladder stones, seizures, cataract surgery, and many more sporadic but frequent vet visits. Riesling is a fighter who smiles through everything he does and brings so much joy to others." And that certainly was the truth! We had a fantastic time on the beach of the beautiful Sea Pines Beach Club, and we were splashing away until there was no more light!
