No clue what happened to all of the images in this post :( I'll have to fix it later 03/19/19
I found out about this event at Wise Man Brewing last minute on Instagram, and I'm so glad we were able to attend! Poor Lexi, still recovering
from surgery Monday, had to stay home, but after a good scrub in the tub, Jake got to tag along! From what they said, it was a little slow, but
there were still some great pooches, and people out for a great cause!
From the Off Leash K9 Training: Winston-Salem Facebook Page :
Join us for our monthly Pints for Pups: Healthy, Wealthy, & Wise! Off Leash K9 Training: Winston-Salem and Wise Man Brewing are teaming up
monthly to support a local canine charity featuring a yappy hour style event! This month's Pints for Pups will benefit local organizaiton,
The Sergei Foundation! Bring your leashed pups to enjoy an evening out to relax, support local business, and give back to the community.
Healthy: Go for a group run (~3 miles). Or stay behind in the taproom, have a beer, and cheer people upon their return!
Wealthy: Learn about the featured local non-profit organization. Wise Man will donate a portion of their beer sales to the featured organization.
This week, we are partnering with The Sergei Foundation and will donate $1 from every pint sold of the night's feature beer!
Wise: Feel free to ask OLK9 about training tips and their obedience training programs.
Drink a pint of Wise Man beer. Repeat as necessary!
We weren't up for the run (goal for next time? or maybe time after that? haha), but we did get in a game of cornhole while we snacked on
some delicious food from StrEat Provision - 5 stars! And a couple of pints of Pie On the Weekends DIPA with Blueberries (which I even
thought was tasty, and I've never tried an IPA I liked) and a Tart Cherry Cider, which I can't find now to give any details, but as with
everything else, was fabulous!
This month's non-profit was The Sergei Foundation, a 501c3 organization, helping to fund emergency
or life-saving treatment for companion animals when owners are faced with financial strife.
I had the pleasure of talking with Founder, CEO and Board Member Karen Fullerton for a bit.
She graciously offered me a copy of her book Sergei's Eyes - even though the back cover
brought tears to my eyes, I look forward to reading the stories she's shared about her
beloved companion.

We ended the night chatting with Andrea Rigby from Off Leash K9 Training, and amping up her current
foster Henry, a seriously handsome 8 month old German Shepherd. I mean really, look at that face!
Henry - Off Leash K9 Training: Winston-Salem
I'd call the night a success for us, as we haven't ventured out much since moving here, and it was definitely nice
to connect with some like minds, animal lovers, and network a bit, especially in the name of a good cause!
The next event is October 18th, so if you're in the area, be sure to check it out!
Keep scrolling for more photos, and links to everyone involved!
Winnie - Hopefully spelled correctly, and possibly this'll make it to her owner!
She was super cute with her paws all folded neatly, but when I got close, she got all wiggly!
Dexter had to show off his climbing, and balancing skills! He was super chill, and of course
super handsome!
Hazel a Dutch Shepherd was in training to be a guard dog once upon a time, but was clearly
meant to be a lover!
Gale Ketteler - Board Chair
I camera bombed? Karen as she was taking pictures lol I was focused on the people and
cut off the top of the kissing booth, but they're still cute images!
I think her name is Emma, the music was quite loud, and
I think we all had strained voices. Anyhow, look at those eyes!
Peanutbutter aka Peanut! What a fitting name for this squishy guy!
Murphy the Weimaraner has crazy eyes with a treat in view! I was at a slow shutter speed
so I didn't have to max out my ISO, so this one has some blur, but his eyes are focused, his
nose must've been independently seeking those treats lol
Treats all gone :(

Lacey Schuetz - You're more than welcome Gale :) They were super adorable! Sorry I am just now seeing your comment, this was my first blog post, so I didn't realize it'd notify me through my site control panel!

Gale Ketteler - Thanks so much for Emma's beautiful portrait, Lacey! She's the big-eyed Chihuahua, also seen with her buddy Franklin in our kissing booth pic above.
