Sundays seem to be the day of the week that we take the time to venture out on exciting new trails with George, or familiar, easy, Jake friendly, trails, and let the dogs put their power sniffers to use beyond the backyard, or neighborhood, and have some fun exploring something different! Our planned stay of two months in West Virginia turned into seven (insert gasping emoji), and after some back and forth on RV or house, and looking for an entire year—the house I found the year before actually showed up in my Time Hop the morning we were looking at the house—we finally close on our new to us home in Charleston, SC the end of next week! It has been really nice to spend so much time with my parents, doing simple things like run errands, or watching TV (thanks for sucking me into the Bachelor Mom lol), and Charleston's not too far proximity played a big part in the reason we chose the area, especially after being in Missouri from 2002-2016, but we are looking forward to settling down in our own space outside of my childhood bedroom again, and exploring new areas that'll be more Jake friendly, and possibly adding a new four-legged adventure companion to our group! Not to mention photographing Charleston’s most fabulous fur babies—feathered and scaly always welcome too—in the best city in the U.S., and on the beach! We'll obviously be back, and likely for Rhododendron season, but for the foreseeable future this, March 10th, was our last Sunday Funday in WV, and it was a good one spent exploring two trails at Grandview State Park. Bonus, we didn't have to finish it in the dark, like we so often, and to my annoyance lol do! Also, we thought it was going to be terribly muddy, because this winter has been yucky with either rain or snow every day, but with the exception of a few water puddles, it was dry. It wasn’t too cold, and we caught a glimpse of a gorgeous, pink sunset through the still bare trees. I usually try to create a couple of images on our outings, but not enough to write a blog about. Maybe I’ll change that? Is it worth it for one or two images? Anyway, this day I came home with quite a few I was really happy with, so welcome to the Jake and George show! :)
P.S. This blog post itself was a bit of an afterthought, and I have two more coming up, one today, so if you enjoy my style of run-on sentences and cute dogs, come back soon!
