Celebrate Shelter Pet Day!

December 5th is a day close to our hearts at Licked! Pet Photography, the celebration of Shelter Pet Day, a day dedicated to the often overlooked heroes of the pet world: shelter animals.

Shelter animals, with their boundless joy, loyalty, and charming mischief, enrich our lives in ways unimaginable. Yet, they patiently wait for someone to recognize their unique worth.

On December 5th, and every day, we embark on a heartfelt mission to illuminate the distinctive qualities and endearing charm of shelter pets. While we won't be physically visiting the shelters today, we are gearing up for a special photography session scheduled for this Thursday, where we'll be capturing the individuality and heartwarming stories of these incredible animals waiting for their forever homes.

In our home, we deeply understand the transformative power of adoption. Our family includes a pack of adopted furbabies, each cherished for their own unique quirkiness and personality. From the mischievous antics of one to the gentle wisdom of another, our own furry family members inspire us daily to showcase the richness shelter pets bring into our lives.

So, as we celebrate Shelter Pet Day, we invite you to join us in this heartfelt endeavor. Together, let's create a tapestry of love, understanding, and appreciation for the exceptional qualities that make each shelter pet a true gem, waiting to shine in a loving home.

Meet a few dogs currently in foster homes patientyly waiting for their forever families. These pets seek more than just homes; they yearn for families that will cherish their quirks, embrace their antics, and reciprocate their unwavering loyalty.

For more information about any of the above pups Please visit Rosie Rescue or Dusty Tails Animal Rescue or in the purple Bruno at H.F. Help No Kill Rescue, sweet boy has been there for almost his entire life.

Now, let's visit some amazing animals from past photoshoots in the Lowcountry. From playful kittens to wise old pups, each of them possesses a story written in their eyes.

How You Can Share in the Celebration:

1. Spread the Word: Illuminate social media with messages of love for shelter pets using #CelebrateShelterPetDay and Together, let's create a trend that echoes far and wide.

2. Adopt, Don't Shop:Consider opening your heart and home to a shelter pet. In return, they offer an abundance of love and gratitude—a companionship beyond measure.

3. Support Local Shelters:Extend a helping hand to the shelters tirelessly caring for these pets by making a donation. Every small contribution makes a significant impact.

4: Foster. Fostering truly saves lives.

Below are a few pups we've photographed during fundraisers for shelter pets!

And of course, you didn't think we'd leave without showing off our own cherished group of pound puppies, did you?
